Welsh Assembly

Projections of 20 economic sectors to 2020 for sub-areas of North West Wales, feeding into the Wales Spatial Plan.

The study included detailed sectoral analysis, profile of the social enterprise sector, impact of closure of Wylfa, different spatial impacts of economic changes in rural / urban area and local authority areas. 

cumbria

A 16-month study, the project involved developing a baseline of rural disadvantage through the use of appropriate indicators.

This comprehensive database was also then used to develop a GIS. Phase II of the research comprised interviews with socially excluded groups to understand processes underlying the observed patterns. Additionally, statistical analysis of the various data sets was undertaken to help identify causal mechanisms.

WRAP's ROTATE team contracted ESYS to carry out research on the economics of curbside separation in glass collection relative to separation further down the

reprocessing chain. The work will provide guidance for local authorities on developing kerbside collection schemes.

Wood

An executive summary of a study undertaken of a specific market for recycled wood, landscaping. The study uses detailed company case studies to investigate the costs, profitability and business potential of using recycled wood in this market.
